Dental

All full-time permanent State employees are eligible for dental benefits. Some part-time employees may also be eligible for dental benefits.

Employees who enroll in dental benefits will contribute a set amount per pay period through convenient payroll deduction.

Vision

The State does not offer vision insurance. Both of the State’s medical plans have benefits for routine eye exams, as well as treatment of the eye due to injury or a medical condition. Employees who are enrolled in the HMO Medical plan are also entitled to an eyewear benefit up to $100 every two years per family member toward the purchase of prescription eyeglasses (frames and lenses) and contact lenses.

Employees who are enrolled in the dental plan are eligible for discounts through EyeMed. This program allows employees and their family members to receive discounts on eye exams, eye glasses, and prescription lenses through participating providers.
