Paid Family Leave (NH PFL) for State Employees

The NH PFL benefit is paid for by the State of New Hampshire. Beginning January 1, 2023, this benefit will be available to all permanent full-time State employees who have completed their one year probation period.

NH PFL provides wage replacement benefits to employees once they have exhausted their earned paid leave. Employees can utilize a claim for NH PFL when they are on an approved unpaid leave of absence related to a qualified family need after exhausting all of their earned paid leave.
