Workers' Compensation
The workers' compensation program for state employees is self-insured and Risk
and Benefits is responsible for the oversight of the program. A third party administrator
(TPA) administers the program and reviews each claim and determines if the injury or illness
is covered under workers' compensation. The TPA handles all aspects of claims and also provides
loss control services, working closely with state agencies to provide claims management, and injury prevention assistance.
